Verse of the day: Ruth 1:16

"Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God."

This morning, I mistook the date for 12 March, so I flipped my daily bread to 12 March and guess what? I got to this verse.
It's not actually the verse that touched me, but the story behind it. Ruth was a persevering woman. Her husband had died and there was no son. She was practically a nameless widow.
Yet she didn't follow the 21st century way of turning emo or dwell on her sorrows. Instead, she carried on and followed her ex mummy in law. Well, she could have just gone and find another man, remarry, and enjoy life.

Ironically, she didn't.

And what she did resulted her being transported to a foreign land. A land of strangers. A land which the only person which she knew was her mother in law, Naomi.

Perhaps today you are undergoing a trial. Maybe something in your life has just withered away. Maybe you lost a job, or maybe a person. It may seem that life would be different now. But don't you ever despair; for God is ALWAYS there. And he has a way for you.

As for Ruth, she found another husband, and I bet that they lived happily ever after.

How about you? Want to find out what's God's plan for you? Trust in Him; just trust wholeheartedly in Him, and who knows? You may find yourself living better than what you initially planned to.

Have you dedicated your life to the Lord?

"Dear God, I want to put my hope in you O Lord. At times, where it seems that the road which I have been traveling on has come to an end, I pray Lord, that my faith in You will not falter, for it is you who makes streams spurt forth in the wilderness and roadways in the wilderness. I thank You for always watching over me, and I pray that my faith in You will never be shaken even through the toughest trials. All these I ask in Your precious Name, amen."

No one is hopeless whose hope is in God.

God bless!

He says,
"I will declare your name to my brothers;
in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises." And again,
"I will put my trust in him."And again he says,
"Here am I, and the children God has given me."
Hebrews 2:12-13

10 Mar

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
1 Peter 5:8-9
