People need the Lord
Tuesday, December 04, 2007
Picture this.

A 24-storey high rise flat.
A saddened guy looks out of his window on the thirteenth floor. Clearly, he is depressed. Be it financial or social issues, the neighbours heard the quarrel between him and his spouse. One hour later, something changed.

The neighbours would hear of the man no more. They would hear no more of his quarrels with his spouse.

The man was found lifeless on the ground floor, presumed dead.

He had taken his life into his own hands.

No, he didn't hear the scream from his wailing child. He didn't see the newly widowed mother trying to comfort her child with one hand, and holding a tear-stained napkin on the other.

If he did, he wouldn't have done that.

That scene above was what happened yesterday at my block. It was classified as a suicide case. Hell has claimed another living soul.

No, I ain't going to say much today. Let this song speak my heart out.

People need the Lord
Song and lyrics by Steve Green
Everyday they pass me by,
I can see it in their eyes.
Empty people filled with care,
Headed who knows where?

On they go through private pain,
Living fear to fear.
Laughter hides their silent cries,
Only Jesus hears.

People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
When will we realize -- people need the Lord?

We are called to take His light
To a world where wrong seems right.
What would be too great a cost
For sharing Life with one who's lost?

Through His love our hearts can feel
All the grief they bear.
They must hear the Words of Life
Only we can share.

People need the Lord, people need the Lord
At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
When will we realize that we must give our lives,
For people need the Lord.
People need the Lord.
Hope the lyrics of this song has spoken out to you in someway or another. God bless.

To my joy: Thank you for guiding me back and helping me realise how great our need for God is. Thank you for being my spiritual companion all this while. I love you with the love the Lord has provided me with and allowed me to experience. Always remember that you are earnestly loved, by both God and me. I love you.
