Haven’t blogged for so long; I could not find the time to do so.
Recently, my faith is constantly being put to the test, and I cannot afford to fail. If I did, it will start off an entire chain reaction which will result in the shattering of many souls.
A verse comforted me.
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." Hebrews 6:19
For BB boys, they should be rather familiar with this verse. This verse is the inspiration which resulted in the formation of this brigade for the Lord, and also the logo. Most importantly, it is reminds us of being SURE and STEADFAST, for God is with us.God is an unpredictable God. There may be uncertainties in life. Unexpected things which make you EXTREMELY FUMING mad do happen. They do happen. It's God's way of telling you "Hey look here! There's something special for you to handle. I want you to solve it MY way. not YOUR way, it's MY way. If you do it, I'm gonna give you a great reward. (Nope, it ain't giant sized lollipops)"
God is an awesome God. He can bring you through any tough time. But there's a cost to that. You need faith. You need to stop being stubborn and just place your trust in Him. And that doesn't require a mountain of faith, faith as small as a mustard seed will do.
God is a forgiving God. He forgives you for ALL the sins you ever did, as long as you TRULY repent. And truly repenting means TRULY repenting. No such thing as "I'm sorry God for playing with fire." and you proceed to light another matchstick. It doesn't work that way.
God is an all knowing God. There's may be things like... "Fabian, shut your ears, I'm going to say this, and you might not wanna hear it." But there's no such thing in God's perspective. No such thing as "God, I'm gonna say something which might hurt you REAL bad, so I suggest that you go and put your attention onto someone else for the moment." No. Period.
Last thing. God loves you. The last four points will be meaningless if not for this. He wants a relationship with you. Not just like seeing him in church every sunday with other stuffs on your mind. No. He wants your life. Your commitment. He wants the real you. Maybe you have been like the prodigal son all your life, wasting your resources, time or youth aimlessly. Maybe you regret it now, and you are saying "It's too late." Maybe you've been hurt REAL bad. You've encountered pain and you might feel that the entire world just treats you like a toy; they throw you away once they've finished with you.
All is not lost. In fact, I would say, you are LOVED. God shows His love to you through your friends, your family or maybe even your boyfriend/girlfriend, your spouse.... the list is never ending. NEVER ending. But most importantly, He shows His love for you through capital 't'.
God loves you.
Suggested prayer
"Dear God, I want to love you more. Deep within my soul, I want to love you; Lord I want to know you. Let me learn how to put my trust in you, guiding me one day at a time. Heal my heart Lord, and if I have had been like the prodigal son, wasting my life away, I pray that you will forgive me, and I trust that you will heal this hurt within me.
All these I ask in the precious name of your Son Jesus, amen."
"We love because he first loved us."To my joy: You are LOVED.
